Studied and obtaind his bachelor degree in Civill Engineering at the California State University in Long Beach California, USA.
Started his involvement in the volunteering sector in 1995 participating in an international workcamp in France. After finishing his studies he participated in a local develpment project in France as a long term volunteer, becoming staff member of the French NGO Solidarités Jeunesses in 1998. Following four years of work at the local level, he joined the staff at the national secretariat of SJ in Paris becoming responsible for the outsending of long term volunteers as well as international relations and workcamps officer. In 2005, he became the secretary general of the organisation until last month. During his time in the organisation he was member of the board of the regional branch of SJ as well as of the international movement Youth Action for Peace (YAP), of the Coordinating Committee of International Vountary Service (CCIVS) and of the French workcamp plate-form COTRAVAUX. He participated in numerous seminars and trainings, evaluations and preparatin of volunteers and helped to establish and to develop several organisations working in the field of voluntary service. In the area of partnerships he establish relations with more than 20 embassies in France as well as with French embassies abroad. |
