Mario Demezzo
Mr. Mario Demezzo, aged 31 is from August 1, 2008 the new Executive Director of the PMRF Romania.

From August 2004 until August 2008 Mario was Resource Development Manager for the organisation “Habitat for Humanity Romania” (HFH). In this position he acquired experience both in Fundraising and PR and his exceptional results made him one of the most appreciated fundraisers in Romania. He implemented the Fundraising Strategy of HFH pertaining to Corporate partnerships, he developed and implemented active measures in PR in relationship to companies. He managed corporate volunteer projects and organized corporate FR trainings. He coordinated and managed national campaigns. He represented HFH at official events, contributed in content to the organisation’s marketing tools (newsletter, website).

Mario managed the FR part for Euro2007Habitat, 2007’s best project (according to People for People’s Gala) with the following results:
• over 500.000 dollars in cash, in kind and services brought within two months;
• 15 new partnerships with companies (Akzo Nobel, Vodafone, Petrom Romania, Austrotherm, Prais Corporate Communications, Isover Romania, Whirlpool
Int’l etc)
• Over 300 volunteers from corporations
• 7 new partnerships developed and continued after the project (Vodafone – 300.000 Euro, Petrom Romania 230.000 euro, Pfizer Romania 60.000 Euro)
He also extended the partnership with Lafarge Romania from 25.000 Euro over a period of 5 years, to 250.000 Euro over the same period of time.
Previous to this enriching experience with Habitat for Humanity, Mario was Cultural, Sports and Youth Coordinator for the Mayoralty of Slatina and Program Manager for Peace Corps Romania, a programme of the USA Embassy. He also worked as a radio host for PRO FM Slatina radio station.
Mario is a law graduate from the “Constantin Brancusi” University in Targu Jiu.
