Marjon van Opijnen is Senior Consultant for CREM*. Her key areas of expertise are Sustainable Supply Chain Management, International and National Dimensions of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Business in relation with developing countries. In this position she is responsible for different multistakeholder initiatives in food supply chains. The major goal is to establish sustainable practices.
Marjon holds a master degree in Business Science (1996) from the Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands and also studied Commerce at the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia). Currently she is writing a thesis on 'The roots of the supply chain', bringing together political philosophy and business ethics. Since 1997 she has been working in the fields of corporate social responsibility, the international development sector and humanitarian aid. Prior to joining CREM, she worked for Médecines sans Frontières and Cordaid, both Dutch organisations in the area of humanitarian and development aid. Her main focus was on rehabilitation and emergency aid. She was based in different projects in Africa and Asia. She gained her experience in the commercial and banking sector in the position of account manager SME at the Triodos Bank N.V, the Netherlands. Before this position she worked as product manager in the potato starch and paper industry. |
