Lucian started as an anchor and editor at the first independent TV station in Romania. Following the experience gained, in 1994 founded the first private TV station in Romania (Tele 7ABC) and started reporting on economics issues.
In 1995 he joined PRO TV and became the General Editor for the 7 o'clock news, the main newscast. He was also an achor for the night news and host of various formats including the business magazine "Think Freely.
Starting with 2000 and by 2003 he managed to stabilize income and grow circulation for "Ziarul Financiar", helpind to build ZF as one of the solid institutions of Romanian Business Media.
Since 2003 he has been the anchor for the main newscast at Antena 1, "Observator". He also took part in the rebrandind process of the station and its movement towards younger and more active audience.
In parallel, starting with 2006, he became Associate Professor at the University of Bucharest and he is currently teaching Messages Editing at the Faculty of Journalism.
Since 2002 he has also been the owner of Alter Media, a media and branding training company and of Sign Factor, a TV production company.
