Gerhard Prätorius, Dr. rer. pol. is Head of Coordination CSR and Sustainability at Volkswagen Group. Previously he worked for the Volkswagen Group as a managing director for several regional development agencies, which dealt with technology transfer, especially in the fields of new transportation systems and environmental technologies.
He began his career as a senior researcher at the department of Technology and Traffic at the Institute for Ecology and Business Management at the European Business School, Oestrich-Winkel. In the beginning of the nineties he joined Volkswagen Group and worked as a project manager at the department for environment and traffic and followed by a position at the research department. Gerhard Prätorius attended the universities of Frankfurt and Marburg and graduated in Economics, Political Science, and German Linguistics and Literature. In 1992 he obtained his doctorate in econocmics: “PROMETHEUSProject. The emergence of technique as a social process”. Additionally Prätorius works as a lecturer “Transportation Economics and Policy” at the Technical University Carolo-Wilhelmina of Braunschweig. |
